Job summary

The Dock Assistant at Sailfish-Club-of-Florid plays a frontline role in delivering a premium boating and hospitality experience. You will help ensure smooth dock operations, assist the Dock Master and dock staff, and support Members and Guests with embarking and disembarking, tying boats, and ensuring water and electrical hookups are ready.

A tidy, uniform appearance and dependable attendance are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist Members and their Guests on embarking and disembarking boats.
• Ensure boats are secured with proper lines and that water/electric hookups are ready as needed.
• Monitor weather and tide forecasts to support safe dock operations.
• Refuel boats as needed and maintain clean, orderly docks and Club property.

Summary: The Dock Assistant will play a role in delivering a high-quality experience to our Members and Guests by ensuring smooth dock operations, assisting the Dock Master and the other Dock employees. This hands-on, customer-facing role requires strong communication skills and a passion for boating and hospitality.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Must show up for work on time, tidy, and in uniform before clocking in.Start the day out by walking the property, checking on boats to make sure no dock lines have been broken or frayed overnight.Make sure Club dock boxes, golf cart, Dock Office and any Club property are cleaned and maintainedAssist Members and their Guests on embarking and disembarking their boats. Make sure their boats are tied up properly, along with water and electric hooked up.Be up to date on weather and tide forecast.Refuel boats as needed.Flexible schedule, must be able to work weekends and holidays
