Job summary

Bailey is seeking a Dock and Door Technician - Lead to install, service, repair, troubleshoot, and inspect commercial/industrial overhead doors, loading docks, and related systems. You will be Bailey's main contact for customers in your service area, mentoring other technicians and coordinating with management.

Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring safe, high-quality installations.

Qualifications

• Technical certificate or equivalent in mechanical repairs.
• Minimum of 2 years in industrial maintenance, preferably with servicing warehouse equipment, doors, and loading docks.
• Experience with welding, steel fabrication, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Represent Bailey as the primary contact for commercial Dock & Door customers in the service area.
• Install, service, and repair commercial/industrial doors, dock systems, and leveling devices.

Job Description

The Dock and Door Technician -Lead is responsible for installation, service, repair, troubleshooting, and inspecting commercial/industrial overhead doors, loading docks, dock leveling systems, and other warehouse equipment.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Represent Bailey as the primary point of contact for all commercial Dock & Door customers within a service area
• Install, service, and repair commercial/industrial doors, door opening systems, loading/warehouse docks, and dock leveling systems
• Lead point of contact to mentor other technicians and be a liaison for management
• Perform preventative maintenance on Bailey equipment and systems at customer sites
• Troubleshoot dock and door equipment, mechanisms, mechanical systems, and electrical circuits
• Ensure quality through checking for proper installation, balance, and clearance
• Proactively address customer needs and expand Bailey business through prompt, friendly, and safe service
• Handle other duties and special projects as assigned

Education/Training/Experience

• A technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs
• A minimum of two (2) years' experience in industrial maintenance, preferably with servicing warehouse equipment, commercial overhead doors, and/or loading dock equipment.
• Experience in welding, steel fabrication, and electrical.
