Job summary

Crown Equipment Corporation in the United States seeks a field technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, service, repair and install dock and door equipment. You will perform maintenance on customer gear, weld as needed, keep a service van stocked, and handle post-job paperwork with accuracy.

Minimum requirements include a HS diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record; technical schooling is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school graduate preferred for advanced skills.
• Welding experience and mechanical/electrical aptitude are desirable.
• Good written and verbal communication and customer care skills.
• Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, service, repair and install dock and door equipment.
• Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer dock and door equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Less than 2 years related experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical school graduate preferred.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Welding experience.
• Good written and verbal communication and customer care skills.
• Read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics
• Familiar with tools and equipment such as common hand.
