Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program Director to provide faculty leadership for the DNP program and ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.

You will collaborate with the Associate Dean of Graduate Programs and other leaders to support operations, curriculum, and student success, while guiding assessment and quality improvement efforts across the program.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in nursing.
• Doctoral degree in nursing, education, or a related field.
• Three years of teaching in higher education, nursing education, or a related academic setting.
• Formal APRN certification and licensure preferred.
• Experience leading an academic program, course coordination, and/or curriculum development.
• Experience supporting accreditation, regulatory compliance, and/or program assessment.
• Experience coordinating practicum placements and preceptor engagement.
• Experience with student recruitment, admissions, progression, retention, academic advising.

Responsibilities

• DNP Program Leadership and Coordination: act as faculty leader and resource for the DNP program; support operations, implementation, and quality improvement; coordinate among faculty and stakeholders; participate in accreditation reporting.
• DNP Curriculum and Faculty Support: maintain curricular integrity; communicate teaching expectations; schedule courses and assign faculty; recruit and onboard preceptors and adjunct faculty; coordinate practicum placements.
• Student Success and Academic Progression: support recruitment, admissions, progression, and retention; advise on requirements and policies; address student concerns.
• DNP Program Assessment and Quality Improvement: lead evaluation activities; develop action plans to improve program quality and effectiveness.
