Job Summary:

Campus Adjuncts are employed by the University to teach didactic courses which are offered on campus. Campus Adjuncts develop, design and deliver instruction in collaboration with the course coordinator and review and assist with revision as needed for department policies and procedures. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

You Will Be Responsible For:

Demonstrates behaviors at AdventHealth University in harmony with AHU’s “Four Words” of Nurture, Excellence, Spirituality, and Stewardship as well as AdventHealth’s Performance Standards of “Keep Me Safe, Love Me, Make it Easy, and Own It.”

  • Upload the course syllabus to the course management system by the first day of class.
  • Develop, design and deliver instruction, in collaboration with the course coordinator as indicated.
  • Engage in the academic roles of teaching, service, scholarship and service.
  • Take attendance each class period. Attendance taking is required at AHU. Non-attendance is to be reported to the Office of the Registrar.
  • Grade examinations and assignments and review evaluations with students, meet all established deadlines set by the University for testing, assignments, grade submissions, and report preparation and submission.
  • Exhibits characteristics of a Christian professional. Engages in the academic roles of teaching, service, scholarship, and research. Maintains involvement in professional organizations and honor societies.
  • Assumes other duties as assigned.

What Will You Need:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Doctoral degree in Nurse Anesthesia, Nursing, Education, or other higher education degree.
  • Graduate degree in Nurse Anesthesia specialty.
  • 1-year current experience in clinical practice as nurse anesthetist.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

  • Current, valid State of Florida license as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN).
  • Current certification/recertification as certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA).
