As a DMU Engineer, Vehicle Architecture you will be responsible for managing the released eBOM, support virtual builds, and support change control processes. You will also be responsible for packaging checks during the release process.

The Role:

  • Use and promote best practices for Digital Mock-Up (DMU) / CAD clean up
  • Support BOM and Change Control processes, including weight management
  • Support the release process with engineering and PLM
  • Lead execution of virtual builds in preparation for physical prototype builds
  • Support vehicle programs through the entire life cycle including; design, prototype builds, vehicle test, and production
  • Perform mechanical design and packaging of vehicle components to meet system and vehicle requirements while optimizing for efficiency, cost, weight, ergonomics, manufacturability and serviceability
  • Support team(s) in solving packaging issues
  • Demonstrate ability to handle multiple competing work assignments from engineering, studio, and manufacturing
  • Support CAD studies for vehicle variants and platform studies

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant engineering experience
  • Conversant with current and forthcoming vehicle architectures and system technologies
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management tools
  • Extensive CAD experience (CATIA preferred) and demonstrated ability in developing and designing product solutions. You must be able to operate an NX or CATIA system and create packaging drawings and proposals as needed
  • Passion for electric vehicles and energy efficiency
  • Motivation, flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment with tight timing constraints
  • Proven problem solving and communication skills, excellent numeracy and spatial awareness
  • Desire a candidate who is assertive, self-motivated and can work with minimal direction
  • Domestic travel up to 15% may be required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of automotive interior, exterior, cabin and underhood packaging
  • Automotive experience
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)Base Pay Range (Annual)$113,800—$156,530 USD
