Sylvania is seeking a Night Custodial Lead for Discovery Middle School in Minnesota. This full-time, on-site role oversees custodial staff during night shifts from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, ensuring a clean, safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of custodial experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment and safety procedures.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage a diverse team.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of custodial staff during night shifts to ensure efficient operations.
• Conduct regular inspections of the school facilities to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Assign tasks to custodial team members and monitor performance, providing training as needed.
• Manage inventory and order cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Respond to emergencies and special cleaning requests, including spills and after-events cleanup.
• Maintain records of work performed, staff attendance, and supply inventory.

• Respond to emergencies and special cleaning requests, including spills, accidents, and after-event clean-up.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, staff attendance, and supply inventory.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in custodial management preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in custodial services, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety procedures related to custodial work.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Availability to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication purposes.

Special Requirements

Boilers License within 6 months of being hired.

Pool license may be required within 12 months of being hired.

Valid driver's license.

Compensation:

$23.28 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
