Job summary

ATI is seeking a CNC Machinist/Machine Operator for our Appleton, WI facility. You will operate vertical turning centers to produce aerospace components in a climate-controlled shop, with state-of-the-art equipment and a focus on precision and safety.

We value problem solvers who learn ATI processes, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver quality parts that meet customer specifications on a 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 2:30 pm–12:30 am). Training provided to motivated candidates.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a transferrable industry.
• Basic reading, math, and measurement comprehension. The ability to read instructions, and perform simple measurements is critical.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Receives work instructions, operation sheets, setup sheets, first piece and in-process check sheets from supervision indicating the operations to be performed.
• Reads and interprets dimension drawings, sketches, tool setup sheets and manufacturing instructions for performing required machining operation and setups.
• Uses operational drawings to determine required dimensions, travels and tolerance to be maintained.
• Oversees and controls the operation of machining centers in the machining of forgings made from various types of super alloys with full support of engineering and programming departments.
• Uses precision or standard measuring devices supplied by the company to check machined dimensions and finishes.
• Loads and unloads pieces using an overhead hoist.
• Exercises care in handling material before and after the machining operation.

We are currently seeking a CNC Machinist/Machine Operator for a unique opportunity on our manufacturing team in Appleton, WI. Our shop is not your typical machine shop. As a CNC Machinist/Machine Operator, you will be an integral part of a successful team and willbe responsible foroperatingthe vertical turning centers that produce specialized products and components for the aerospace industry.In this role, you will be able to work with new state-of-the art equipment in a safe, clean,air and climate-controlled environment.

This is 2nd shift position, Monday-Thursday, 2:30 pm-12:30 am. We will train a motivated, mechanically inclined candidate!

Basic Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a transferrable industry with transferrable skills.
• Basic reading, math, and measurement comprehension. The ability to read instructions, and perform simple measurements is critical.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, Vo-Tech Certificate or associate degree in electrical, mechanical or another related curriculum
