Job summary

Unicare Health in Newbury Park, CA is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist with DMEPOS expertise to own claims from submission through resolution, including payment posting, denials, and appeals. This foundational, full-time onsite role works with the Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management and Compliance.

You will manage AR, patient billing, and ensure HIPAA compliance, accurate coding for Medi-Cal, Medicare, and commercial payers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of DMEPOS medical billing experience across claims submission, payment posting, secondary/tertiary billing, patient billing, and denials/appeals.

Responsibilities

• Own claims submission and the full back end of the DMEPOS revenue cycle, including AR management and denials tracking.
• Prepare and file timely appeals with supporting documentation and track to resolution.
• Coordinate with intake, documentation and clinical teams to ensure clean, billable documentation.
