Aufgaben

• Comply with all DOT and FDA regulations related to oxygen.
• Assist in pulling equipment and supplies from warehouse as prescribed by patient plan of care.
• Ensure proper segregation of clean and dirty equipment on the delivery vehicle.
• Load equipment, oxygen systems, and supplies onto delivery vehicles.
• Plan daily routes and deliver to homecare patients in a timely manner.
• Complete routesheets and maintain route log binder.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The DME Service Technician serves a critical role in providing durable medical equipment (DME) & supplies tothepatientsservedbyCoastal Medical Supplies. The DME Service Techniciandeliverssets-upandprovideseducationonthesafeuseofDMEandsuppliesthat meettheneedsofourpatientsthatallowsthemtoremainsafelyintheirhomes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• ResponsibleforcompliancewithallDOTandFDAregulationsastheypertaintooxygen.
• Assist,whennecessary,inthepullingofequipmentandsuppliesfromthewarehouseasas prescribedonthepatientplanofcare.
• Assurespropersegregationofcleananddirtyequipmentonthedeliveryvehicle.
• Loads the equipment,oxygen,systems,and related supplies onto a delivery vehicle.
• Determinesorobtainsbestdailyroute,thendrivesdeliveryvehiclesonthatroute,totellhome medicalequipment, oxygen, andsuppliestohomecare patients/clients inatimely manner.
• Completesroutesheetaccuratelyandmaintainsroutesheetlogbinder.
• Providespatienteducation,instructingontheproperuse,maintenance,andsafetyoftheequipment.
• Workswithpatientstosolveavarietyofproblems.
• ResponsibleforcompliancewithallDOTandFDAregulationspertainingtothewarehouse.
• Familiarwithalltheequipmentandofficesupplieswithintheprobationaryperiod.
• Maintainsupplyquotas/parlevelsandinitiatereplacementasneeded.
• Operatesallequipmentandsuppliesinasafemanner.
• Organizesandlabelsallitemswithinallstorageareaswithminimumassistance.
• Keepsallstorageareasclean,neat,organized,andproperlystockedatalltimes.
• Discardsallunusedemptyboxes.
• Cleansanddisinfectsdailyallnecessaryequipmentandsuppliesproperly.
• Assistsinminorrepairworkwithinthescopeoftraining.
• Abilitytoliftandcarryaminimumof50lbs.
• Completespick-upsanddeliveryofequipmentwhenrequired.
• Maintainsinventory.
• MaintainsthestrictestconfidentialityinaccordancewithHIPAAcompliance.
• Allotherdutiesasrequired.

Equipment Responsibilities

• Cleaningequipment, disposable supplies, maps, protective devices, radio, seat belt, telephone,tie,downs,timeclock,wheelchair,mechanicaltools,etc.
• Picksup equipment,as directed.
• Returnsandunloadsreturnedequipmentatthewarehouse,assuringpropersegregationof clean and dirty equipment within the warehouse.
• Completesdeliveryandpick-uppaperworkpromptlyandaccurately,includingroutesheets, manifests, and patient documentation, returning paperwork.
• Assistsincleaninganddisinfectingrentalequipment.Assistsinminorrepairworkwithinthe scopeoftraining.
• Assistsincleaningandstockingthewarehouseasneeded.
• Performsdailypreventativemaintenanceandvehiclechecks, as required, on the assigned vehicle.
• Maintainsaneat,cleanpersonalappearance.
• Performsallwarehouseandofficemaintenancetasksasrequired.
• Demonstrates timeliness,courtesy,sincerity,and patience when dealing with customers.
• Presentsapositiveandprofessionalmanneratalltimes.
• Assumesotherdutieswithinthescopeoftrainingasassigned.
