Job summary

Quipt Home Medical is seeking a Durable Medical Equipment Repair Technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair DME equipment. You will inspect and service medical devices, calibrate gear, and ensure safety compliance while supporting delivery operations as needed.

The role runs Monday–Friday with potential after-hours emergency repairs. Strong mechanical aptitude and basic tool use are essential for maintaining equipment in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current state issued driver's license.
• Clean driving record for the past 3 years.
• Pass a background check.
• Experience with durable medical equipment preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and repairs medical equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Inspects and repairs patient/customer's medical equipment.
• Repairs, calibrates, and maintains equipment.
• Performs safety tests to ensure patient and staff safety from electrical or mechanical hazards.
• Consults with staff to ensure equipment functions properly.
• Assembles medical equipment per manufacturer specifications.
• Maintains adequate supply of repair parts.
• Demonstrates correct operation of equipment and follows safety procedures.
• Documents functional checks and repairs for equipment.
• Assists Delivery Drivers with loading/unloading when needed.
• Keeps work area and tools clean and orderly.
• Follows OSHA guidelines to reduce injuries.
