Position Summary:
The Implementation Specialist works under the direction of the Implementation Manager to establish a fully functioning, optimized and compliant DME service line in client facilities across the nation.

Essential Functions:

This is not an exhaustive list of duties and may vary with continued company growth and type of contract signed:

· Assist with planning and managing of all activities comprising SOH client implementation

· Define tasks and resource requirements to develop full-scale implementation project plans

· Work collaboratively with other service delivery areas to provide clients with a superior experience and ensure commitments made to the client are handled appropriately.

· Establish efficient clinical and business workflow processes and write standard operating procedures

· Conduct provider and administrative staff meetings to document all stakeholder expectations of program and product offerings

· Assist the Supply Chain Manager with inventory analysis and establishing baseline inventory metrics

· Evaluate physical space and conduct procurements to establish a functional DMEPOS store

· Conduct interviews and qualify DMEPOS coordinators and site managers

· Create and execute site-specific training programs for Select Ortho employees including, but not limited to EHR/PM functions, facility and inventory management, fitting, patient education and compliance

· Educate and train client providers and staff on DME processes, best practices, and compliance

· Perform clinic coverage and fitting during times of employee turnover, new hire training and during the initial clinic Go-Live and handoff transition

· Perform billing as needed between implementations or directly post-implementation

· Perform Supply Chain functions as needed

· Track implementation project deliverables using appropriate tools

· Monitor and report implementation project progress, problems and solutions to all management and client stakeholders

· Complete implementation project evaluation, assessment and documentation archive

· Troubleshoot protocol and process adjustments during implementation and throughout contract terms

· Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout implementation and for designated clients post-implementation

· Manage, Execute and Communicate all training plans and statuses to client and internal operations for successful Go-Live and operational handoff

· Responsible for implementation project management for clients requesting new products and functionality when client is operational

· Travel as required for trade shows, conferences, client meetings and company meetings

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree, or 4 years healthcare-related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Types of Education:

· Certified Athletic Trainer

· Certified Orthotic Fitter

· Certified Fitter-Orthotics

· Project Management Professional

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience:

· DMEPOS related medical experience – fitting, billing, and compliance

· Experience conducting employee training and continuing education

· Experience writing and implementing standard operating procedures or handbooks

· Excellent skills in verbal and written communication and patient care

· Experience using SmartSheet project tracking software

· Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, OneNote, SharePoint, OneDrive (Office 365 programs)

· 2-5 years’ experience in medical environment OR a health insurance environment and work with the sale and enrollment process

· Ability to learn and quickly master new software systems

· Knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology, Medical terminology, Insurance Claims, and Insurance Benefits

· Working knowledge of HIPAA and insurance compliance

· Strong personal commitment to quality service

· Experience leading teams in a cross-departmental, matrix-style environment

· Experience working in both business and minor IT functions

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has direct supervisory responsibilities and serves as a trainer, coach and mentor to subordinate employees.

Work Environment
This job is primarily remote with client-facing requirements in the healthcare setting during project assignments. This role requires interaction with a broad range of clients including C-level executives, administrative staff, physicians, clinical staff, billing staff and patients. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively This position has the potential to be very active and requires the ability to move from a sitting to standing position regularly, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping. The employee must frequently lift or move items weighing 20 pounds or more, in addition to sometimes lifting items weighing 5 pounds or more overhead.

Travel

55-65% of travel a year is expected.
