What You'll Do

• Educates customers on proper and safe usage of home medical equipment, ostomy, diabetic, wound care, respiratory equipment to include oxygen, small volume nebulizer.
• Can trouble shoot equipment problems over the phone
• Accesses customer needs, measures customers for custom fit, explains safety issues.
• Responsible for verifying information is correct
• Keeps current on medicare, medicaid, and insurance payor requirements for equipment and supplies and is able to explain the coverage to customers.
• Calls insurance for verification as needed
• Handles customer complaints to resolve issues
• Assists with ordering/restocking inventory.
• Answers telephone and takes care of inquiry or referral
• Accepts orders from physicians and referrals processing proper documentation and processes new orders for billing and delivery of product and services in a timely fashion, making sure all orders are completed and all required documentation is signed and dated

Requirements

• Two years of experience in a health care organization
