Job summary

Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO) in Miami, OK is seeking a phlebotomist to join our team. This role includes specimen collection across patient ages, data entry, and delivering courteous, professional service to patients and staff.

The ideal candidate has knowledge of phlebotomy procedures, demonstrates strong communication, and can adjust shifts as needed. Certification is preferred but not required; training provided.

Location: Miami, OK

Hours: Wednesday 2:30pm-11pm Thursday and Friday 9:30am-6pm

Essential Functions

• Report to work on time and prepared for each scheduled shift
• Perform all assigned duties and processes, including tasks for which you are fully qualified and those within your demonstrated capabilities
• Maintain a positive, professional, and supportive attitude throughout the workday
• Work collaboratively as a team member and contribute to a respectful, productive work environment

Qualifications

Required Knowledge:

• Knowledge of phlebotomy procedures, specimen requirements and basic computer use is helpful
• Must comply with all DLO safety and compliance policies

Required Experience: Phlebotomy certification is preferred but not required. Previous phlebotomy experience in a clinic or hospital setting is preferred. Experience working/interacting with patients in a hospital setting is preferred

Special Requirements

• Must be able to communicate effectively to clients, patients and staff in person and on the telephone
• Must have excellent patient service skills
• Must be able to adjust schedule to help cover other shifts as needed
