Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated's Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma in Grove, OK is seeking a phlebotomist for Friday 6:00pm-6:00am shifts with rotating holidays.

Responsibilities include specimen collection for all ages, data entry, and patient service with professionalism. Phlebotomy certification is preferred, hospital experience is encouraged, and flexibility to cover shifts is required.

Location: Grove, OK

Hours: Friday 6:00pm-6:00am with rotating holidays

Essential Functions:

• Report to work on time and prepared for each scheduled shift
• Perform all assigned duties and processes, including tasks for which you are fully qualified and those within your demonstrated capabilities
• Maintain a positive, professional, and supportive attitude throughout the workday
• Work collaboratively as a team member and contribute to a respectful, productive work environment

Responsibilities:

• Must be able to work both independently and as a team member.
• Specimen collection will include all age groups and both Inpatients and Outpatients.
• Clerical tasks and computer data entry are a PSR responsibility.
• Must be customer service focused and professional.

Qualifications:

Required Knowledge:

• Knowledge of phlebotomy procedures, specimen requirements and basic computer use is helpful.
• Must comply with all DLO safety and compliance policies.

Required Experience:

• Phlebotomy certification is preferred but not required.
• Previous phlebotomy experience in a clinic or hospital setting is preferred.
• Experience working/interacting with patients in a hospital setting is preferred.

Special Requirements:

• Must be able to communicate effectively to clients, patients and staff in person and on the telephone.
• Must have excellent patient service skills.
• Must be able to adjust schedule to help cover other shifts as needed.
