Join Augusta University as a DJJ Certified Medical Assistant in Savannah, GA. This full-time position offers a base rate of $20.00 per hour, with 41 paid days off annually.

Job Summary

This role involves performing administrative and clinical tasks within a facility clinical team, supporting healthcare providers, and preparing patients for examinations.

Responsibilities
  1. Patient triage, vital signs, patient interviews, and preparation for exams or procedures.
  2. Processing lab requests, venipuncture, routine screening tests, EKGs, nebulizer treatments, and dressing changes.
  3. Preparation and administration of prescribed medications, documenting times and dosages.
  4. Entering clinical data into electronic medical records and maintaining accurate documentation.
  5. Assisting with administrative duties such as answering phones and scheduling.
Educational and Qualification Requirements

High school diploma with two years of relevant experience and certification from AAMA, CCMA, MedCa, NCMA, or RMA.

Preferred Qualifications

Three or more years of clinical experience, correctional clinical experience, familiarity with electronic medical records, and bilingual skills are a plus.
