Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Parts Pro in Charlottesville, VA. This role supports advanced DIY services, including parts identification, sourcing, and expert knowledge of store systems and automotive diagnostics.

The position requires strong customer service, sales skills, and familiarity with inventory processes. You will handle in-store and phone-based DIY assistance, perform battery/wiper services, and work flexible days including weekends to meet store goals.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
• English communication skills; Spanish a plus.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and manuals.
• Experience with inventory and POS systems.
• Must successfully complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal / store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance standards.
• Key holder responsibilities (task assignment and completion, safety, open/close duties).
• Assist in store inventory processes including truck put away, cycle counts, back stock, etc.
• Store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot.
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
