Job summary

Advance Auto Parts Inc. is seeking an entry-level Salesperson to support the DIY business and help achieve sales and service objectives.

The role requires knowledge of store systems, basic automotive and part knowledge, and the ability to source from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers. The position can be part-time or full-time, with responsibilities including assisting customers, performing DIY services, managing inventory, and delivering parts as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in all units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customers and phone inquiries.
• Achieve personal sales goals and help store meet sales targets.
• Offer DIY services (battery installation, testing, wiper installs) and maintain service standards.
• Manage inventory processes including stocking, cycle counts, and back stock.
• Keep store clean and organized (floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot).
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
