Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a Salesperson to support the DIY business, assist customers in-store and by phone, and help meet sales goals. The role requires basic automotive knowledge, strong part familiarity, and routine use of store systems. It may be part-time or full-time, with safety certification preferred.

The position emphasizes inventory accuracy, parts sourcing, and delivering excellent service while working a flexible schedule in a retail environment.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment.
• Ability to work days, evenings and weekends as needed.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and parts catalogs.
• Basic math skills and comfortable with store systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal sales goals and help the store reach its targets.
• Provide DIY services such as battery installation and wiper installations.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Manage inventory processes including truck put away, cycle counts and back stock.
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
