Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a Salesperson to support the DIY business and meet sales goals. The role requires basic automotive knowledge, store system proficiency, and the ability to source parts from multiple channels.

Part-time or full-time options are available, with emphasis on accurate inventory handling and customer service. Responsibilities include battery installations, wiper installations, and delivering parts as needed while maintaining store standards.

Qualifications

• Read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus).
• 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences.
• Basic math including adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units.
• Ability to use delivery board system, POS and parts lookup systems.
• Friendly communication and ability to build relationships with customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal sales goal and help store achieve its sales goals.
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Inventory processes including truck put away, cycle counts, back stock, etc.
• Deliver parts safely to customers as needed.
