Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking an entry-level Salesperson to support the DIY business in Marrero, LA. The role requires basic automotive knowledge, inventory familiarity, and the ability to source from multiple channels.

Part-time or full-time positions are available, with safety certifications preferred. Responsibilities include assisting customers in-store and over the phone, meeting sales goals, offering DIY services such as battery installs and wiper replacements, and maintaining inventory

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment.
• Basic knowledge of store systems and parts; ability to source from stores, hubs, pdq and external suppliers.
• Friendly communication and ability to build relationships with customers, peers and management.
• Read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to work days, evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal sales goals and help store reach its overall sales targets.
• Provide DIY services including battery installation and wiper installs.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Manage inventory processes including truck put away, cycle counts, back stock and related tasks.
• Keep store clean and orderly, including floors, bathrooms and parking lot.
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
