Job summary

Advance Auto Parts in Davenport seeks a Salesperson to support the DIY business with strong knowledge of store systems and basic part knowledge. The role can be part time or full time, with fleet safety certification preferred.

You will deliver excellent DIY customer service, achieve sales goals, and provide services such as battery installation and testing, as well as maintaining inventory and store standards.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment.
• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively with customers, peers and management.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs.
• Use basic math accurately for transactions and measurements.
• Ability to work days, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal sales goals and help store reach its sales goals.
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Responsible for inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, and back stock.
