Job description

Are you an experienced and motivated accountant or financial planner looking to make a profound impact in people's lives? We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic experienced financial professional to join our team and provide invaluable guidance to individuals navigating the complexities of divorce. Your primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive financial analysis, asset-liability-cash flow assessments and expert witness testimony in the divorce process.

Remote work is available, with occasional in-person attendance required for client and team meetings.

Essential Functions

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of clients' financial situations, including assets, liabilities, income, expenses, and investments.
  • Develop financial projections considering settlement options and long-term planning goals.
  • Prepare financial reports and expert opinions.
  • Collaborate with clients, their attorneys, and other professionals.
  • Assist in negotiating settlements and participate in mediation or court proceedings as an expert witness when required.
  • Educate clients on the financial aspects of divorce, empowering them to make informed decisions that align with their financial objectives.
  • Address client concerns and questions regarding financial matters throughout the divorce process.

Job Qualifications

  • 5 - 7+ years of relevant financial experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFP, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, Accredited in Business Valuation) are strongly preferred; candidates on track to complete a designation will be considered
  • Proven experience working in financial planning and analysis preferred
  • Knowledge of individual income tax
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple clients and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Self-starter with a desire to grow within a specialized and dynamic team
