Overview

Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) Industrial Division is seeking a Division Assistant Controller located in Waco, TX. The Industrial Division Assistant Controller supports the Division Controller in the direct supervision of the day-to-day general accounting functions and coordinates the month-end closing process and daily/weekly monthly financial reporting. Assists in the development of financial plans and forecasts, and the analysis of operational results and consolidations thereof. Prime day-to-day responsibilities will be cost accounting, division financial analysis, forecasting, financial modeling, business financial management, and operating the budget.

Responsibilities

• Assist and oversee the General Accounting functions such as fixed assets, inter-company accounting, financial analysis and modeling, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Support management financial requests for information through detailed analysis and reporting.
• Review and perform account reconciliations.
• Perform timely and accurate financial closing, consolidations, and reporting.
• Support the operating budget process.
• Oversee standard cost rolls processes.
• Support ad hoc Business unit/corporate requests.
• Assist in financial, internal, and government audits.
• Assist in the preparation of the monthly and quarterly review packages.
• Business partner to the operations leadership team
• Serve as a backup to site Controllers and Division Controller
• Some domestic and international travel is required
  
  

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution, preferred in Finance or Business discipline
• 5+ years of relevant work experience - standard cost system and manufacturing; preferred aerospace or heavy industrial experience
• Strong accounting knowledge
• Good business acumen
• Effective communication and influencing skills
• Ability to work effectively work as part of a team
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility is required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position;
• This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen U.S. Permanent Resident (ie. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
