Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. seeks a Division Vice President of Land Acquisition to lead land strategy and acquisition efforts. The role works with the Division President to set goals, manage feasibility analysis, negotiations, and approvals to meet division objectives.

The position requires extensive experience in land acquisition, regulatory processes, and market analysis, with a focus on delivering timely land opportunities for homebuilding operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related field.
• Seven to ten years land acquisition experience.
• Ability to meet multiple deadlines concurrently in a high‑pressure environment.
• Experience in contract negotiation.
• Proven ability to lead and execute strong oral presentations.
• Strong verbal & written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Actively search for land available for purchase and negotiate acquisitions.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships for potential acquisitions.
• Oversee due diligence, environmental and zoning processes for land deals.
• Present acquisition submittals to management and stakeholders.
• Ensure timely completion of land submittals and budgets.
