Division of Oncology, Department of Pediatrics

Adjunct, HS Clinical, Clinical X, and In Residence Series


The Division of Oncology in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco, and UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals are recruiting for faculty members at the Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full ranks in the Adjunct, Health Sciences (HS) Clinical, Clinical X, and In Residence faculty series. Academic rank is commensurate with experience.


Selected candidates will join a major academic medical center and established fellowship training program. This position may have clinical responsibilities at both the San Francisco and Oakland campuses and would actively contribute to the Department's mission of excellence in research, education, and patient care.


Qualified candidates must possess a medical degree and license, board certification/eligibility in pediatrics, and board certification/eligibility in pediatric hematology-oncology.


Preferred qualifications include a strong academic background and interest in pursuing a career in clinical or basic research and teaching.


These faculty positions provide an ideal environment for collegial interactions, clinical, translational, or basic research as well as other academic endeavors, within an environment that promotes and expects excellent clinical care. The successful candidate will also participate in the teaching and mentoring of medical students, residents, and fellows, and undertake other academic activities consistent with their interests and faculty series.


For positions that are 51% effort or more:

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $104,800-$320,100. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.


For positions that are 50% effort or less:

See Table 2 for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $74,800-$228,600.
