Job summary

Hulcher Services is seeking a motivated Division Manager Trainee to lead division activities in production, distribution, and marketing to meet customer service needs. You will oversee safety, financial performance, and staff development while coordinating emergency and non-emergency operations.

Ideal candidates bring leadership experience in heavy equipment supervision and the railroad or environmental sectors, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Extensive knowledge of state permit requirements and procedures.
  • Three or more years related experience supervising heavy mechanical equipment and field operations.
  • Leadership experience in railroad or environmental industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements plans to clean up derailed railroad cars and engines, track construction, rail cargo transfer services and environmental emergency response services or other projects using materials, machines, and employees efficiently, providing direction to the crew.
  • Maintains a safe, positive, and productive work environment, and directs the division’s achievement of its safety, financial, and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Schedules and coordinates assignments to meet customers’ demands on emergency and non-emergency bases.
  • Confers with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in area.
  • Schedules and implements maintenance and repair of field equipment and division facility.
  • Reviews production costs and product quality and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable division operations.
  • Hires, trains, and supervises staff, regularly evaluates performance, and counsels division staff. Ensures proper orientation of staff into the organization.
  • Ensures completion and processing of all required administrative requirements expected from the division.

Hulcher Services is seeking a motivated and success-driven Division Manager Trainee. You will play a vital role in providing leadership in all division activities within assigned area, including production, distribution, and marketing operations to meet customer service requirements.

What You'll Do:


  • Develops and implements plan to clean up derailed railroad cars & engines, track construction, rail cargo transfer services and environmental emergency response services or other projects using materials, machines, and employees efficiently, providing direction to the crew.

Requirements

What You Bring:


  • Must have a valid driver's license.

  • Extensive knowledge of the State permits requirements and procedures.

  • Three or more years related experience in the supervision of heavy mechanical equipment and field operations.

  • Leadership experience in the railroad or environmental industry

  • Three or more years experience operating heavy mechanical equipment preferred.

  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to all types of people, both verbally and in writing; strong communication, decision-making, analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.


Work Schedule:


  • Subject to irregular work hours

  • 24/7 on call emergency response to derailments

  • Travel up to 50%
