Job summary

Camp Akiba is seeking energetic, responsible Division Leaders for Summer 2026 to support campers and staff within their division. The role blends mentoring, organizing, and problem-solving to keep camp safe, fun, and unforgettable.

You will oversee camper well-being, supervise staff, and communicate with leadership and parents while upholding camp policies and traditions. On-site housing is required for the season.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children, preferably in a camp or educational setting.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills — able to guide, mentor, and support staff.
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills with both kids and adults.
• Highly organized, adaptable, and able to remain calm under pressure.
• Enthusiastic, energetic, and willing to fully immerse in camp life.
• Must be a team player who can balance fun with responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the well-being, growth, and daily experience of all campers in your division (approx. 40–60 campers).
• Supervise and support the counselors and activity staff within your division.
• Serve as a key communicator between camp leadership, staff, and parents as needed.
• Support and reinforce camp policies, traditions, and community standards.
• Take regular shifts in the evening duty rotation to help monitor camp life after hours.
• Host or oversee evening programs and special activities for your division, ensuring they are fun, safe, and engaging.
• Actively participate in activities alongside campers to model enthusiasm and involvement.
• Manage conflicts that may arise among campers or staff, addressing situations fairly and calmly.
