Job summary

HCA Healthcare seeks a Division Quality Lab Coordinator to coordinate and implement the Laboratory Service Line quality program in the San Antonio Division. The role includes operationalizing quality initiatives, monitoring processes, and driving improvement.

Travel to sites is 20-30% with potential home-based work depending on need. The ideal candidate will lead process improvements, ensure safety culture, and collaborate with corporate and division leaders to enhance enterprise quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a clinical laboratory, chemical, biological science, or related field.
• 1+ year of experience in clinical laboratory with knowledge of clinical laboratory laws and regulations.
• 2+ years of experience in quality improvement is preferred.
• Clinical licensure, laboratory medical technology.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
• Strong leadership, creativity, and excellent communication skills across the organization

Responsibilities

• Implements performance monitoring and improvement that support quality and safety initiatives.
• Assists in identification and communication of best practices in the division to support enterprise standardization and sharing.
• Lead proactive laboratory process improvement initiatives, evaluate success through pre-established criteria, and increase involvement of staff and pathology medical directors toward a culture of quality.
• Lead proactive laboratory safety activities to create hospital laboratories that are highly reliable with reduced errors and safer processes.
• Collaborate with Corporate and Division medical leaders to support data analysis, reporting, process and outcomes improvement.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate laboratory quality and risk performance data across the division, noting trends and prioritizing opportunities to improve.
• Evaluate compliance with state and federal regulations and standards, including CMS, CLIA, CAP, and JC.
