Job summary

San Diego State University’s Athletics Medicine program seeks an Associate Athletic Trainer, Softball, to deliver comprehensive clinical care for the SDSU Softball program. You will manage injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and return-to-play, while supporting practices and travel on a Division I campus.

The role requires coordinating with physicians, coaches, trainers, and other staff, documenting care, and contributing to program development and EHR processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in athletic training and BOC certification required.
• Two years of experience as an athletic trainer in higher education.
• Master’s degree preferred; strong clinical judgment and leadership expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive athletic training services for SDSU Softball including injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and return-to-play.
• Coordinate medical coverage for practices, competitions, and travel; act as first responder and manage emergency care and follow-up.
