Job summary

University of Virginia seeks a Division Director for Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Pediatrics within the UVA School of Medicine. The role oversees clinical service, trainee education, and a growing research program across multiple tracks including autism and cognitive disorders.

The ideal candidate is an established academic DBP/NDD/General Academic Pediatrician or PhD with strong leadership and collaborative skills.

Qualifications

• Open to MD, DO or PhD holders with relevant board certification or eligibility.
• Board certified or eligible in Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics (DBP) or Neurodevelopmental Disability (NDD) or General Academic Pediatrics.
• Experience leading divisions and fostering multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Division of Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Pediatrics in clinical, educational, research, and scholarly activities.
• Set vision and develop strategic plans aligned with UVA Health and Department of Pediatrics.
• Oversee faculty development, training programs, and quality improvement initiatives.
