Job summary

The MetroHealth System in Cleveland, OH seeks an experienced physician to serve as Division Director of Hematology and Oncology, leading clinical, educational and research missions within a major academic medical center.

The Director will collaborate with Cancer Center Director and Department Chair to advance patient care, education, and research, and participate in strategic initiatives including membership in a national cancer coalition.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required and ABIM certification in Oncology and/or Hematology.
• Unrestricted Ohio medical license or eligibility.
• Experience leading academic medical division with a focus on clinical and research growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical care and service to patients and referring providers, promoting trial enrollment.
• Establish a faculty development plan and oversee recruitment and retention.
• Participate in Department leadership to attain goals and departmental objectives.
• Provide leadership of the academic enterprise and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support patient safety, risk management and compliance programs.
