Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities Of The Division Director

Ensure that all divisions are in compliance with Department of Children's Advocacy (DCA) standards. Develop a strategy and infrastructure for effective mission-drive quality assurance, training, recruitment and data integrity program. Ensure that staff and volunteers are trained and ensure quality standards are adhered to within each division to be successful in their positions. Interpret information for use in development of strategic plans for the DCA. Participates in the decision and policy making process for the DCA.

Under limited supervision, this position will manage the Program Integrity and Volunteer Development Division which provides training, recruiting, quality assurance and data/research support to each division in the Agency. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and use discretion within the agency. This employee will serve as the Director for the Program Integrity & Volunteer Development Division. The director must be knowledgeable about the mission, vision, and purpose of the agency. This employee must have experience and demonstrated skills to effectively engage in strategic planning and initiatives, project management, quality assurance, training, research and data collection and analysis. Must have advanced computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets and program database management. Ability to manage work and provide guidance to employees. Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies and procedures relevant to the agency. Must possess excellent communication (written and verbal) skills. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and use discretion within the program.

  • Supervises staff to include preparing performance planning and evaluation documents and related personnel paperwork. Coaches, counsels and trains employees. Establishes and monitors work processes. Implement management policies and initiatives and promote teamwork.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors quality assurance guidelines for DCA divisions.
  • Analyzes division data to determine trends and makes recommendations in identified problem areas.
  • Oversee development of strategy and infrastructure for effective mission-driven volunteer recruitment, engagement, and retention.
  • Oversee the development of curricula and implementation of training across the agency.
  • Complete any special projects assigned by supervisor.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience. Two (2) years of program management experience in quality assurance, training program delivery, or data analysis
Additional Requirements
  • Position may require overnight travel.
  • Position may require the employee to work evenings and weekends.
  • Position requires routine driver duties.
  • Position requires frequent stooping and/or bending.
  • Position requires frequent lifting: 25 lbs.
  • Position requires non-essential declaration.
  • Position may be required to report to work during emergency situations.
  • Must have valid driver's license.
  • Must possess strong oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A master's degree in public administration, Human Services, Business Administration, or a related field. Five (5) or more years of experience in quality assurance, training, and data/research. Demonstrated experience supervising professional staff and managing multi-layered program teams. Experience designing state-wide volunteer recruitment or engagement infrastructure.
