Job summary

PulteGroup is seeking a Division Controller I in Mission Viejo, CA to direct accounting and administrative service functions. You will lead accounting staff, ensure GAAP compliance, and produce financial reports and forecasts in collaboration with division leadership.

The role emphasizes strong internal controls, analytical rigor, and effective communication within a nationwide homebuilder organization. A CPA is preferred and a Bachelor’s degree is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.
• CPA license strongly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years public and/or corporate accounting experience.
• Good knowledge of GAAP, internal controls and financial reports.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises accounting staff to ensure adherence to GAAP and company policies.
• Prepares monthly financial reports and analyzes budget vs actual results with management.
• Prepares financial forecasts and coordinates with leaders to review them.
• Coordinates all internal and external audit requests.
• Facilitates workflow between National Shared Services and Division operations.
