BSWH is seeking a Division Chief to join our Supportive and Palliative Care Program. This employed career opportunity offers a generous benefits package. Job Summary

The Department of Medicine at Baylor Scott and White Central Texas is looking for a new Division Chief to lead our team of 6 faculty Physicians, 3 Advanced Practice Providers, and 1 Fellow, providing inpatient and outpatient services at our 600-bed tertiary/quaternary hospital in Temple.

The SPC program is mature, with Joint Commission Certification, an ACGME-accredited fellowship, and strong collaborations with Inpatient Medicine, Geriatrics, Oncology, and Heart Transplant. The team includes a chaplain, social worker, and child-life specialist. Growth opportunities include expanding research programs and potential leadership in the BSWH Hospice program.

The position reports to the Chair of Medicine, Dr. Michael Volk. It includes 20% protected time for administrative duties, with additional protected time possible for research or hospice activities based on the candidate’s interests.
