Job summary

Loyola University Medical Center seeks an accomplished Plastic Surgeon to serve as Division Chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. This leadership role combines meaningful clinical work with directing the program, mentoring faculty, and expanding services across cosmetic and reconstructive fields in a multidisciplinary setting.

The role requires MD/DO with Board Certification in Plastic Surgery and Associate/Professor rank, with prior leadership experience preferred.

  • Collaborate with hospital departments and leadership to strengthen coordinated patient care and program expansion.
  • Partner with leadership on physician recruitment, access, quality improvement, and standardization.

## OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTSThe Department of Surgery at Loyola University Medical Center, is seeking an accomplished, collaborative Plastic Surgeon to serve as Division Chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. This Chief will join a growing faculty and a collaborative working environment. This is a physician leadership opportunity for a surgeon who wants meaningful clinical practice combined with responsibility for program direction, team development, quality, and growth.The Division has a main clinical base at Loyola University Medical Center, with Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, MacNeal Hospital and the Hines VA Hospital also attended by the group.Highlights of the Position* Provide clinical, strategic, and operational leadership for the division.* Guide division that spans cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, breast reconstruction, skin cancer reconstruction, facial reconstruction, body contouring, burn surgery, complex wound care, craniomaxillofacial trauma, and pediatric congenital deformities.* Collaborate with Breast Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Dermatology, Trauma, Wound Care, and hospital leadership to strengthen coordinated patient care.* Partner with leadership on physician recruitment, access, quality improvement, operational standardization, and program expansion.Candidate Requirements * MD or DO with Board Certification in Plastic Surgery.* Associate or Professor of Surgery rank* Prior leadership, division development, or physician management experience strongly preferred.* Track record of mentorship and career guidance for faculty, residents and students* Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and to balance clinical excellence with operational stewardship.This opportunity offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including:* Competitive starting compensation between $159,000 – $985,945* Salary Based on Academic Rank and Experience* Excellent Benefits: Trinity Health Benefits Summary* Paid Time Off Days* Paid malpractice, including post-employment tail coverage* Relocation Expense Reimbursement (in accordance with IRS guidelines)* CME Days and Allowance* Additional Benefits from LUC or VA (if applicable)Interested candidates should email cover letter and CV to the Physician Recruitment Office, at LOY-PhysicianRecruit@lumc.edu as well as apply online at www.loyolamedicine.org/careers.
