Posting Summary

Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is dedicated to transforming health care for New Jersey and the nation through innovation and excellence in education, discovery, patient and family-centered care, and addressing the health of our diverse community. The selected candidate will participate in the clinical care of patients, primarily those with cerebrovascular disorders, under the administrative structure of the University Medical Group, according to a schedule determined by the Division Chief. The principal activity will be inpatient care.

Faculty duties at RWJUH include:

  1. Management of patients requiring Neurocritical Care
  2. Collaborate with the Stroke team, Neurosurgery, and Acute Care Surgery to develop an NCC service at RWJUH and establish a call schedule
  3. Provide attending coverage as a neuro-intensivist
  4. Participate in teaching medical students, residents, and stroke fellows
  5. Report directly to the director of the Neuro-Intensive Care Unit and the chief of the Division of Stroke and Neurocritical Care
  6. Lead medical and clinical aspects of the service
  7. Participate in policy development, compliance, and education
  8. Monitor clinical indicators to ensure standards are met
  9. Work with hospital leadership to establish frameworks for safe, high-quality care
  10. Attend meetings and support committees in policy development
Corporate Compliance Responsibilities

Ensure adherence to federal, state, and institutional regulations and policies. Train and evaluate staff on compliance policies specific to their roles.
