The Indiana University Health (IU Health) Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is seeking a Board-Certified Gynecologic Oncologist at Associate or Full Professor for the leadership position as Division Chief of Gynecologic Oncology. This is a full-time faculty position leading a division of 5 gynecologic oncologists and 3 advanced practice providers, with plans for expansion. IU Health is the premier academic medical center and primary referral hospital for Indiana, supporting teaching for the largest medical school in the state, a residency program, and fellowship programs.
The role will be primarily based at IU University Hospital and the Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis, Indiana’s only NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center. The division also provides care at IU North in Carmel and Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis, with plans to expand to IU Arnett in Lafayette. Faculty cover complex obstetrical emergencies at Riley Hospital for Children.
This is a comprehensive leadership opportunity involving advanced surgeries, chemotherapy, clinical trials, and multidisciplinary cancer care involving radiation, pathology, genomics, and supportive services. The candidate will contribute to teaching and research, including involvement in clinical trials, surgical education, and quality initiatives, within a diverse team-based environment.
Qualifications include Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology with subspecialty in Gynecologic Oncology, preferably at Associate or Full Professor rank, with leadership experience, extensive clinical management skills, and eligibility for Indiana medical licensure. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
