Prisma Health seeks an accomplished and collaborative gastroenterologist to serve as Division Chief of Gastroenterology for the Midlands Region. This leader will provide strategic and clinical direction for a growing digestive health program within one of the Southeast's largest integrated health systems, advancing access to high-quality gastroenterology and liver disease care while building a destination program recognized for clinical excellence, innovation, and patient-centered outcomes.

Prisma Health was established in 2017 through the merger of Greenville Health System and Palmetto Health and today includes 19 hospitals, a physician enterprise of more than 4,000 providers, numerous ambulatory sites, and over 30,000 team members across South Carolina and Tennessee. The Division of Gastroenterology in the Midlands is a robust and expanding program within the Department of Medicine, offering advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services, including ERCP and care for complex gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, and pancreatic disorders. The Division currently includes six gastroenterologists and eight advanced practice providers, supported by a strong referral network and growing regional demand. The next Chief will have the opportunity to recruit and develop talent, expand clinical services, enhance operational performance, and create innovative care models that keep patients close to home while elevating the region's digestive health capabilities.

The ideal candidate will be an accomplished physician leader with a track record of clinical excellence, program growth, and operational leadership. They will possess the ability to unite physicians and staff around a shared vision, foster a culture of accountability and collaboration, and execute strategic initiatives that improve access, quality, and patient experience. Board certification in Gastroenterology and significant leadership experience are required, along with a commitment to innovation, education, and exceptional patient care.
