Job summary

VCU Health in Virginia seeks a Division Chief for Maternal Fetal Medicine to lead clinical, research, and educational programs for the division. The incumbent will spearhead a team of six MFM subspecialists and oversee a fellowship program, with a focus on growth, quality, and collaboration across services.

You will guide teaching, research, and clinical service, participating in hospital and university committees, and advancing maternal-fetal care in a Level 4 NICU environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of ACGME or ABOG accredited fellowship training in Maternal Fetal Medicine or its equivalent
• Ability to obtain an unrestricted medical license in Virginia
• Effective supervisory, leadership, and management skills
• Potential for scholarship or creative expression to complement and expand existing expertise

Responsibilities

• Teaching responsibilities to include actively participating in the department’s educational activities for students, residents, and fellows in maternal fetal medicine
• Lead the division’s research program and participate in scholarly publications/presentations
• Serve on departmental, hospital, and university committees
• Leadership and administration of the clinical practice in Maternal Fetal Medicine
• Grow clinical volume and implement state-of-the-science clinical programs and quality initiatives
