Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, seeks a Division Chief for Maternal Fetal Medicine to lead clinical, teaching, and research activities within the OBGYN Department. The incumbent will supervise six MFM subspecialists and guide the new ACGME-approved fellowship program, with a focus on high-risk obstetrics, ultrasound, prenatal diagnosis, and fetal therapy.

The role requires proven leadership, a national reputation in clinical care and teaching, and the ability to expand services

Qualifications

• Completion of ACGME or ABOG accredited fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain Virginia medical license.
• Leadership and management skills.
• Scholarship or scholarly activity to complement expertise.
• Demonstrated professionalism and collegiality with diverse faculty and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage clinical, research, and educational programs for the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine.
• Oversee a six-subspecialist division with a new fellowship program.
• Advance research activities and publish scholarly work.
• Participate in departmental, hospital, and university committees.
• Drive growth of clinical volume and develop state-of-the-art programs.
