Job summary

Regional Health System in Illinois is launching a Cellular Therapies & Hematologic Malignancies Division and seeks an experienced Hematologist to lead it. The role includes building a 4-person hematology group, guiding the division through FACT accreditation, and leading Phase 1/2 trials with access to a broad trials network.

The position offers protected time for clinical and administrative duties, potential academic appointment, and visa options (H1B/O1).

Qualifications

  • Experienced hematologist to lead the new Cellular Therapies & Hematologic Malignancies Division.
  • Ability to build and mentor a team of 4 hematologists.
  • Guide the division through FACT accreditation; explore cellular therapies expansion.
  • Access to 500+ trials via the system's research partnership.
  • H1B and O1 visa options considered.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the division as its own service line and build a group of 4 hematologists.
  • Oversee FACT accreditation process and potential expansion into cellular therapies.
  • Manage clinical and administrative time allocation as described: 3 clinical days + 2 admin days, or 60% clinical with trials day.
  • Drive participation in Phase 1 & 2 trials with access to broad trials via the research partnership.
  • Coordinate with the organization’s research nurses, regulatory and data teams.
