Job summary

HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast is seeking a Division Assistant Vice President of Practice Operations based in Houston, TX. You will lead practice operations across 415+ providers, 84+ locations, and 16 hospitals, coordinating with division leadership to meet key performance and quality goals.

Requirements include 5+ years in practice management and a Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare administration; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration or related field.
• Master's degree in business administration, healthcare administration or related field preferred.
• 5+ years experience in practice management.
• Experience in managing multiple physician practices across a wide geographic area.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Gulf Coast Division Vice President of Practice Operations.
• Directly oversee 11 direct reports and 415+ providers across 84+ locations and 16 hospitals.
• Provide leadership and management for all physician operations in large divisions (>400 providers).
• Ensure strategic initiatives, regulatory compliance and HCA policies are implemented effectively.
• Coordinate with hospital CEOs and division leadership to meet organizational needs.
• Develop and drive strategic direction of markets with hospital CEOs.
• Oversee budgeting, staffing levels and action plans to eliminate variances.
• Monitor quality initiatives and regulatory standards in clinics.
• Support physician recruitment and placement in employed practices.
• Collaborate with sales/marketing to support growth initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
