Job summary

The Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Utah seeks a Division Administrator for the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension. This highly visible leader will provide strategic, operational, and financial oversight across clinical, research, and educational missions, partnering closely with faculty and leadership to advance excellence.

Reporting to the Division Chief, this role guides strategic planning, organizational development, and resource management for a diverse workforce,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or related area; eight years of progressively responsible management experience.
• Demonstrated leadership, human relations and effective communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the division in partnership with the Division Chief.
• Develop and manage short- and long-term budgets across clinical, research, and educational missions.
• Ensure compliance with university, health system, sponsor, and regulatory financial policies.
• Oversee clinical programs across nephrology, hypertension, kidney transplantation, and dialysis services.
• Support research growth and foster collaboration across departments and external partners.
• Lead HR and organizational development, recruitment, onboarding, retention, and succession planning.
