Job summary

First Citizens is seeking a Mortgage Origination professional to interview applicants, determine mortgage needs, and guide customers toward suitable loan products. You will manage loan submissions and coordinate with processing teams to close loans, while expanding sales through outreach and cross-selling opportunities.

The role requires knowledge of government and conventional loan products and strong client relationship skills, with travel to various offices as needed.

Responsibilities

• Interviews applicants to obtain financial information, employment, income, credit, assets and liabilities to qualify for mortgage loans.
• Submits loan applications with complete borrower information for processing.
• Coordinates processing and closing with processors, underwriters, appraisers and closing agents.
• Responds to questions from branches and clients regarding loan status.
• Represents the Bank in diverse lending and outreach opportunities to generate leads.
