Job summary

Consor is seeking a Dive Technician in the United States to join our bridge inspection teams. You will prepare and operate dive equipment, boats and vehicles, and contribute to structural assessments locally and nationwide.

You will gain hands-on experience on water and topside inspections, while developing technical writing skills and maintaining comprehensive field records. A valid ADCI certification and physical fitness are required to perform inspections in the field.

Qualifications

  • ADCI Commercial Diving certification is required.
  • Experience or proficiency in equipment maintenance.
  • Proficient technical writing skills.
  • Must be physically able to perform bridge inspections in the field.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections and help develop reports in accordance with National Bridge Inspection Standards requirements to determine maintenance or repair needs.
  • Perform emergency inspections of bridges damaged by collision, floods, etc., as required.
  • Maintain and prepare equipment for field inspections including dive equipment, vehicles and boats.
  • Maintain bridge records and files.

Job description

What Your Day Will Look Like:

As a Dive Technician at Consor you will be preparing for and working on dive teams for our structural assessment contracts locally, regionally and around the US. You will help maintain and prepare the equipment: including dive equipment, boats and vehicles. You will serves as a bridge inspector, diver tender and a note taker. You will be in the water honing your craft from day one. We will also teach and involve you in top side inspection of bridges and other structures to protect the travelling public and gain full inspection experiences.

  • Perform inspections and help develop reports in accordance with National Bridge Inspection Standards requirements to determine maintenance or repair needs
  • Perform emergency inspections of bridges damaged by collision, floods, etc., as required
  • Maintain and prepare equipment for field inspections including dive equipment, vehicles and boats
  • Maintain bridge records and files

What You'll Need:

  • ADCI Commercial Diving certification is required
  • Experience or proficiency in equipment maintainace (Consor may send to training if aptitude is displayed)
  • Proficient technical writing skills
  • Must be physically able to peform bridge inspections in the field
  • Valid driver's license required
