People Technology And Processes in Virginia Beach, VA, seeks a Dive Maintenance Technician with extensive 3M/Navy diving qualifications to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on diving equipment and associated life support systems. Responsibilities span scheduling in PMS, stocking inventories, and supporting customer service on site.

Required are Navy Dive School NEC 5342, 5+ years as a certified diver, and multiple 3M certifications.

Qualifications

• Navy Dive School Certified (NEC 5342) is required.
• Minimum five years’ experience as a certified 5342/MDV1 diver.
• 3M Maintenance Man, 3M Quality Assurance Craftsman and 3M Work Center Supervisor certifications.
• NAVEDTRA 43910-(Series) qualification.
• DLSS Re‑Entry Control (REC) Supervisor and oxygen clean system worker certifications.
• MK 25 UBA maintenance technician qualification.

Responsibilities

• Conducts preventative and corrective maintenance as mandated by OPNAV Instruction 4790 scheduled in 3M for all items listed.
• Must be available to travel in CONUS to conduct maintenance and inventories.
• Schedules maintenance within the PMS computer system and documents completion.
• Inventories repair parts and identifies procurement requirements.
• Conducts spot-inventories of diving equipment at remote training sites.
• Assists with customer service and handling of diving equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conducts preventative and corrective maintenance as mandated by OPNAV Instruction 4790 scheduled in 3M for all open circuit items including SCUBA tanks, regulators, air compressors, Haskel oxygen charging booster pumps and kits, diagnostic test equipment and tools, buoyancy compensators, surface swim life preservers, depth gauges, pressure gauges, underwater communications equipment, full face diving masks, diving Life Support System (DLSS) associated equipment and NAVSEA Certified Life Support Systems.
• Must be available to travel in CONUS to conduct maintenance and inventories.
• Schedules maintenance within the Preventative Maintenance System (PMS) computer program and document maintenance when completed.
• Inventories repair, maintenance supplies, and parts. Identify requirements for recommended procurement.
• Conducts spot‑inventories of diving equipment. Must be available to travel to conduct spot‑inventories of diving equipment utilized at remote training sites.
• Assists with customer service, issue, and receipt of diving equipment.

Qualifications

• Navy Dive School Certified (NEC 5342 (MDV1 or higher)).
• Minimum five years’ experience as a certified 5342/MDV1 diver.
• Qualification as a Material Maintenance Management (3M) Maintenance Man, 3M Quality Assurance Craftsman and 3M Work Center Supervisor.
• Qualified in accordance with NAVEDTRA 43910-(Series).
• Possess factory‑trained certification for diving equipment within inventory, DLSS Re‑Entry Control (REC) Supervisor, oxygen clean system worker, and MK 25 UBA maintenance technician.
• Minimum of Three (3) years NSW experience.
