Qualifications

• Preference given to Catholic teacher.
• Certified by the Arizona State Department of Education or AIA as a coach and meets applicable NCA requirements.
• Must meet Diocese of Phoenix requirements for employment.
• Received Safe Environment Training and signed the Code of Conduct.
• FBI Fingerprint clearance completed.
• Having a current Arizona State driver’s license is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Instructs athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and training necessary to achieve individual and team success while promoting the Pursuing Victory with Honor Program and maintaining discipline.
• Assists in the overall functioning of the specific sport’s program.
• Assists the Head Coach in assuring that the venue for the sport is safe and equipment is within regulation, safe, maintained and inventoried.
• Assists in coordinating supervision of student-athletes in all areas of play, locker rooms, and other venues used by the sport.
• Maintains open communication with faculty, staff, and parents regarding the sport; assists in college recruiting and scholarship processes with athletic director and guidance staff.
