Job summary

Unified Door & Hardware Group (UDHG) is seeking an Estimator to lay the foundation for project success by delivering accurate, competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects. You will analyze blueprints, specs, and proposals to cover every scope and support smart planning.

This role emphasizes precision, collaboration, and ongoing updating of cost data, with responsibilities in bid management and ensuring alignment with project goals.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent combination of construction industry experience
• Two years in the construction industry, with emphasis in doors, frames, hardware, and specialties
• Great communication and problem-solving skills
• Highly productive
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g. Bluebeam, EPWS)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience in the construction industry is a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High degree of ownership for projects, a sense of urgency and strong follow-through

Responsibilities

• Estimate Preparation & Analysis: analyze blueprints, specifications, and proposals to prepare accurate scopes of work and detailed cost estimates
• Project & Bid Management: maintain quotes, take-off tasks, and prioritize projects
• Miscellaneous: support our values in safety, customer focus, teamwork, integrity and being a Company of Choice
