Responsibilities

• Identifies and evaluates students with speech and language impairments.
• Participates in eligibility determinations for special education and related services.
• Participates in conferences including IEP meetings and annual reviews.
• Develops and implements IEPs for students eligible for related services in speech and language impairment.
• Provides in-service programs to parents, teachers, students, administrators, and other professionals.
• Completes required documents and reports.
• Participates on child study and teacher assistance teams.
• Facilitates curriculum and instructional modifications.
• Participates in continuing professional education.
